Who Can Be a Ready-Rider?
We welcome anyone who doesn’t have access to public transportation, a car or can’t drive due to physical, cognitive, mental, or developmental limitation.
You don’t have to miss out on medical appointments, friends’ parties, family get-togethers, dinner with loved ones and more. Activities are more accessible than ever when you call for one of our cars or wheelchair-friendly vans.
Payment Options
What is NEMT and how does it work regarding payment?
Medicaid
NEMT is an acronym for non-emergency medical transportation. It’s a critical covered benefit for NC Medicaid beneficiaries. It allows beneficiaries to access health care services from Medicaid providers and is a covered service in both NC Medicaid Managed Care and NC Medicaid Direct. This includes service provided by a qualified, enrolled Medicaid
provider.
Private Pay
Medicaid doesn’t cover all planned trips. That can turn into a challenge when it comes to getting to an appointment or event. This is where we can help you out! You can count on Ready-Ride NC to get you where you want to go, at an affordable rate.
